SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think "six nines")
- Own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product
- Analyze and solve challenging problems through persistence and insight

- Develop, maintain, and improve creative new systems and diagnostic tools
- Make smart, educated decisions where automation can improve overall product support efficiencies
- Maintain effective documentation on existing and future tool sets
- Thoroughly test tool sets before release to ensure tool accuracy and efficiency
- Learn a ton, whether you know a lot or nothing about products and software systems
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- At least 3-4 years of Software Engineering experience
- High proficiency in Python with practical "back-end" development experience
- Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming, test driven development, and software development life cycle
- Experience designing performant and efficient programs for processing large, unstructured data-sets
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Willingness to work in an Agile development environment
- Willingness and ability to work in an open office, team environment.
- Ability to simultaneously work on multiple engagements and priorities
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain sight on scope and depth of project initiatives throughout the development life cycle in order to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Additional Qualifications:
- Practical hands-on experience with the following:
- Process automation and/or machine learning
- Cloud infrastructures like AWS
- DevOps and Pipeline tools such as Docker and Jenkins
- Designing, implementing, and using efficient REST APIs
- SQL-based relational databases: Postgres, AWS RDS, MySQL, Python modules ("SQLAlchemy", "DB-API", etc.)
- Web server management: Apache, Nginx, Tornado, WSGI (Gunicorn)
- JavaScript
