Job Description Description
The Cloud Foundational Services group is responsible for defining, developing, engineering and operating cloud products consumed by our Application Development Partners across the firm. Our Product Portfolio includes Private and Public Cloud Platforms and a wide range of services such as databases, messaging and telemetry.
As Senior Software Engineer you will work as part of the Public Cloud Platform team in Cloud Foundational Services to enable the firm's multi-cloud strategy across Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Azure focusing on Identity integration, hybrid network, provisioning and automation of onboarding, telemetry and inventory . You will build secure and resilient systems that provide a foundation for streamlining public cloud adoption within the firm and accelerating development of cutting edge solutions for our business.
Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Engage and improve the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
  • Scale through automation and evolve systems by pushing change that improves reliability and velocity
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software/tooling solutions
  • Design and implement automated deployment strategies that scale with the business
  • Research, design and apply advanced security techniques
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Develop and build solutions relating to Identity and Access Management, primarily with Google Cloud and additional focus on AWS and Azure, building scalable and secure role models and integration into firmwide identity services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience with Google Cloud, experience in AWS and Azure an additional benefit.
  • Highly proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python, Golang or Java.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - desire to solve complex problems at scale
  • Strong Programming skills - needs to be able to code, leverage APIs, and understand security, authentication and data structures.
  • Web Scalability - Highly available architectures - load balancing, scale out
  • Ability to design workloads in cloud for resiliency and performance utilizing cloud native design principles.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IAM of the various cloud providers, implementing least-privilege and effective analysis of controls.
  • Understanding of key cloud network concepts (Direct Connect/Interconnect, VPC, Transit networks, security groups/firewalls)
  • Hands on experience with Terraform and HCL.
  • Knowledge for Cloudformation for AWS.
  • Cyber security fundamentals and working knowledge
