Job Description:
The Public Cloud Engineer for NTT MCIS is responsible for delivery and support escalations for NTT MCIS in the public cloud space. The candidate should have experience delivering solutions in one or more public clouds and familiarity with the challenges provided by working in a managed services provider environment. An engineer level employee is self-starting and self-motivated as the individual is expected to be able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues independently. Also, the individual is expected to reserve time to research technology and advise others (internally and externally) of opportunities to enhance solutions/products provided by NTT.
Deliverables for the Global Public Cloud organization include:
- Working with sales, product, and architectural teams to define operational standards and service descriptions
- Working with customers and sales team occasionally to provide input on valid solutions for public cloud infrastructure
- Helping to define migration and transformation strategies
- Ensuring engagement from support engineers in Service Delivery org through TCT (Team Contribution Time) framework
- Implementing customers with specified standards and deployment models leveraging best practices for public cloud infrastructure management
- Implement landing zones and build public cloud infrastructure for migrations and new environments
- Leverage DevOps best practices to deploy Infrastructure as Code
- Acting as a point of escalation for support and troubleshooting existing environments as issues arise (connectivity or performance issues for example)
- Maintaining cost governance toolsets (CloudHealth)
- Creation of platform blueprints and product standardization
- Building processes and workflows that ensure a smooth customer experience and efficient time utilization in the support of public cloud services

- Provides recommendations on changes and design enhancements to improve reliability, security, processes, and performance

Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. Will also accept equivalent of bachelor's degree through any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7 years' experience in an IT infrastructure position
