Job Description

The Project Engineer/Large Project Administrator-Engineer will assist sales and marketing with technical review of large projects with a value of $250K industrial motor specifications. This individual will provide timely and complete quotations to customers and support marketing with data collection for market analysis based on quotes and orders generated from quotes. The Large Project Administrator will serve as a liaison on projects once in-house and coordinate with sales, plants, engineering and marketing to ensure proper order entry, submittal review and order shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work performed includes review of consulting engineer's technical specification and matching of the specification requirements to our product offering. Provide timely and complete quotations to our customer including detailed exceptions and/or clarifications to the specification. Offer alternative solutions where needed.
  • Work with marketing to help set market prices as needed. Adhere to policy for compiling and/or supplying information to the marketing department (i.e., complete market information level/estimated costs for titans).
  • Adheres to support workflow requirements to achieve Service Level Agreements
  • Work with sales to facilitate and/or address open issues at time of order entry and/or submittal stage
  • Work with appropriate departments to complete open issues for order shipment
  • Proactively resolve all issues to insure timely shipments
  • Basic metrics analysis
  • Actively interact through e-mails and phone calls with division to resolve issues/doubts.
  • Compile monthly reports on Quote logs, Hit-rate, Error and Defect, RFQ monitor
  • Identify personal training requirements to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • B.S. Engineering Familiarity with electrical motor application preferred.
  • Proficient with report writing; business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Must possess analytical skills in relation to determining best service that can be provided to customers regarding technical and/or applications engineering inquiries.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete multiple tasks in a predetermined time frame.
