We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer - Cold Stowage to join our team with JETS teammate company, Aerodyne Industries.

The Project Engineer - Cold Stowage will:

• Perform failure troubleshooting and resolution.
• Travel to launch and landing locations, managing the equipment, and supporting the science payloads
• Perform project engineering and testing functions for the Cold Stowage team by supporting flight hardware products through research and development, design, procurement, fabrication, test, data analysis, certification, flight/mission delivery, sustaining, and resupply phases/activities.
• Coordinate with matrix organizations in support of the above activities.
• Maintain the Cold Stowage laboratory facilities and inventory.
• Generate essential paperwork and documents, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Crew Procedures.
• Work in a team environment, and report to a team lead or project manager for technical support and task assignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requisition Qualifications:

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule (including nights and weekends), be on-call, and adjust the schedule to meet peak periods when required.

Preferences:

• Experience with payload processing procedures is a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Experience in programing with C++.
• Experience with Smartsheet.
• Experience with Creo.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
