The Maintenance Specialist has many responsibilities that support the various Projects/Programs Launches for General Motors. Some key responsibilities are coordination of the workload amongst the different sector Maintenance Specialists across programs. Coordination of meetings with HQ Engineering and Supplier/OEMs to convey/train/track the METL PM Launch Process. In addition, working jointly with the HQ Engineering to receive and review the OEM submitted maintenance job plan tasking and identifying key failure points in equipment design and how to prevent them.
Further activities/ responsibilities also include creation of maintenance job plan tasking for new or refurbished manufacturing equipment from technical drawings, OEM maintenance manuals, and M-FMEA. Researching new equipment, components, and technologies to determine required preventative maintenance tasks and frequencies. Resolving problems as they arise, tracking the key milestone deliverables and estimated completion dates (job plans required/developed/reviewed/approved and loaded) and organize and conduct meetings to report out on them to ensure successful launches at our Manufacturing Facilities. This position will be based out of the Warren Tech Center.

Additional Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or a minimum of 4+ years' experience in the skilled trades
- Proficient in Maximo, SharePoint, GM TeamCenter or (Unigraphics, Cad Design Programs), and Excel software applications
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Ability to train others on how to create an efficient maintenance job plan
- First-hand knowledge of maintenance resource goals and challenges.
- In-depth understanding of complex electrical and mechanical systems
- Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO)
- Predictive maintenance technologies and how to utilize them to detect potential failures
- Maintenance work scheduling, planning, and resource optimization
- OSHA/ANSI/NFPA regulations & requirements relating to workplace safety and equipment maintenance and inspection requirements.
- Preferred Maintenance leadership experience at multiple manufacturing sites
- Experience in multiple sectors within the automotive industry (General Assembly, Conveyors, Paint and/or Battery/Electric/Propulsion)
