Job Description

Your Career

  • As a Prisma Cloud Consultant, you are a critical part of our customers’ adoption of Cloud security integrations -You may be engaged with multiple clients as the subject matter expert, establishing relationships with them to ensure best practices for their secure cloud environments, throughout the lifecycle of their journey with our products -You’ll guide them for quick and consistent adoption, accelerated integrations with new cloud security products, and real-time support and strategy

  • You’ll act as their trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance around complex systems to secure a digital environment. Interacting directly with the client, you’ll partner closely with client personnel to guide them on their cloud security journey -Your thorough understanding of our product integrations contributes to the development of new principles and concepts – providing detailed analysis around what’s working, what’s not, and what could be better

You enjoy implementation work, are proactive about resolving potential concerns, and operate well around strict best practices that enable our clients on their road to a more secure digital world. You’re creative, innovative, and you love a challenge – learning how integrations might work better around new products and technologies.

Your Impact 

  • Consult and guide customers on security standard, best practices, methodologies and act as trusted advisor for clients on behalf of Palo Alto Networks
  • Work proactively with our Technical Assistance Center to troubleshoot and diagnose cases as escalations arise
  • Mitigate web-based threats in a timely manner
  • Maintain the implemented solution and provide mentorship on code upgrades, changes to the platform, and new technology developments 
  • Work with sales account team to help formulate a technical strategy to address customer business needs

Qualifications

  • Practical experience with Public Cloud platforms, preferably Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS

  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and/or GCP Cloud Deployment Manager Templates

  • Understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Experience with APIs

  • Understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and applications - specifically around Cloud infrastructures

  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management/Role Based Access Control, Data Security specific to cloud infrastructures

  • Understanding of Cloud DevOps Security and Identity-Based Microsegmentation

  • Experience with cloud networking models and connectivity, network security, virtualization, and cloud computing

  • Basic understanding of Cyber Security industry Compliance Standards/Best Practices (i.e. PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CIS Benchmarks, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of SQL language, Cloud provider specific CLI commands (AWS CLI, Azure CLI, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of Single Sign On capabilities/tools (Identity Providers such as Okta, Azure AD, Google, OneLogin, etc.)

  • Ability to deliver complex solutions in large customer environments individually or as a team leader

  • Experience in customer-facing roles

  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure, and to prioritize tasks accordingly

Bonus/Good to Have:

  • Scripting experience

  • Expertise with container orchestration services, preferably Kubernetes and Docker

  • Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Gitlab, Chef, Ansible, or OpenShift

  • Additional Cloud Provider Experience: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Alibaba Cloud

  • Basic knowledge with third party security infrastructure tools (i.e. ServiceNow, Splunk, JIRA, Tenable, etc.)

Salary disclosure required by sb19-085 for positions located in the state of Colorado: If hired in Colorado, this position starts at a salary of $71,200/yr. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Restricted stock units and bonus pay may also be offered as part of this compensation package, as well as benefits that include: flexible paid time off, employee stock purchase program, medical, dental, vision, 401K, life, and disability insurance.
