Become part of an exciting directorate within the Mission Systems Engineering & Technology (E&T) Organization. The Applications and Infrastructure Services pillar is seeking a Product Owner with technical talent and proven leadership to deliver service-oriented capabilities, foster a collaborative learning culture, and fuel high quality continuous software and feature delivery. This position is responsible for leading product teams to provide a variety of services that include development, deployment, and support of the next generation business integration tools.

Job Summary:

Collins Aerospace Engineering Applications & Infrastructure Services organization is seeking a Product Owner with a passion for problem solving and satisfying internal customers through the delivery of improvements to the global tool ecosystem that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise. A candidate in this role will have a proven track record of leading co-located and distributed teams through continuous improvement and meeting internal customer expectations. A leader that balances a passion for leadership, knowledge of Agile methodologies, and delivering on internal customer commitments in the application development space will thrive in this opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Passion for challenging and developing people
  • Leads individual talent and is responsible for a team of contributors via Agile development.
  • Maintain backlog and lead change control boards between the team and internal customers.
  • Accountable for success (technical, schedule, etc.) of assigned/allocated tasks and activities
  • Leverages advanced principles, theories, and concepts of complex technical subjects to provide direction for the team
  • Work with leaders in staff planning and onboarding of new hires for assigned team(s)
  • Interfaces with internal customers, and partner organizations within the company to ensure effective two-way communication of needs and results
  • Maintains awareness of technology, software development and deliver, and roadmaps within the domains of their area of responsibility


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned Value concepts
  • Understanding of web application development using MVC/C# .net/MySQL
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Understanding of database technologies
