Overview

It also established the three attributes most identified with the GSI brand: Quality Reliability User-Friendly. We are seeking a Product Engineer to work out of our Eden Prairie, MN office.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and testing to address customer and manufacturing issues related to new and existing products.
- Sustaining product engineering activities, such as evaluate new components, updates to designs and/or assembly instructions/inspections, ECR/ECO activities, creation/maintaining of BOMs, coordinating with groups in other facilities as necessary to allow continued production of products while understanding impacts on industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements that apply to the product (e.g., safety, EMC, audiometer, etc.).
- Perform and manage tasks related to the Engineering Change Process and provide follow-through with other groups.
- Lead the coordinate introduction of new products into production from a brand point of view for GSI and OEM customers.
- Provide technical information when products are being registered in other countries.
- Perform adhoc verification and validation activities related to product development
- Write technical Service Manuals
- Take self-study initiative to learn new relevant products, software, and technology as needed; willing to learn and apply new industry standard requirements
- Proactively communicate with multiple internal departments such as Service, QA, Application Support, and Product Management team members
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary technical degree (Associate or Bachelor's) required
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with analog and digital circuits
- Must be a "hands on" engineer with the demonstrated ability to be a self-starter
- Familiar with Engineering Change processes
- MS Office proficient
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with solid organizational ability and attention to detail
- Analytical problem-solver with the ability to complete multiple tasks with shifting priorities in an open-office environment
