The Comcast Network and CONNECTivity (CONNECT) organization is a highly agile, fast-paced, dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable access network for our customers.

Overview of the Role:

Be part of a very driven team responsible for Comcast's communications services infrastructure solution and evolution. This role assists in developing solution architecture and design, formulating strategy and course of actions for the introduction of new technology solutions, and VoIP infrastructure evolution.

The candidate will join the Communications Infrastructure Services team working on highly available systems in geo-redundant and self-healing configurations. Assists in the planning, designing, integrating, testing, deploying and supporting of products.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

• Must possess effective and proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Agile Software Development Process,
• Programming in Java or Python to access API's for database querying

• High Performance Computing, Computer Networks,
• Hands-on experience and practical knowledge of Unix/ Linux and cloud environments. A plus if you have Kubernetes (even if that is classroom experience) or OpenStack!
• Automation & scripting any of the following: Ansible, Chef, Bash, Python, or any other language
• Basic network troubleshooting and configuration
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of employees, external vendors, and management

Additional Experience (valued, not required):

• Working knowledge of SIP protocol, WebRTC or Diameter
• Database and Data Science knowledge
• Data extraction and manipulation using Python Programming or equivalent
