Process Engineer Technical Process
Description
General Motors Global Propulsion Systems is an innovative organization with decades of Industry Leading knowledge implementing Production Systems for Engines, Transmissions, Electric Drive Units and Batteries for our wide array of Commercial and Passenger Vehicles. The Technical Process Team is responsible for driving our Manufacturing Engineering work into the future trough the development and implementation of CAD, CAM and CAE 3D and Virtual Software Tools that expedite our Product and Process Design activities with the ultimate aim of bringing Products to Market quickly and flawlessly.
- You are responsible for the creation and documentation of modeling plans to engineering team and initiation of new processes and tools.
- Responsible to create and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned projects.
- Participate in the creation of assigned subsystem Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models
- Motivate CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones and deliverables.
- Perform and oversee resources for virtual assessment of designs and compare results to performance requirements.
- Initiate design solutions to resolve any performance issues with mass & cost efficiency.
Additional Description
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- 3+ years of Manufacturing or Design Experience
- Work Experience in one or more specific technical areas: Manufacturing Project Management/Execution,
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's or higher degree
- NX12 (or relevant CAD Software)
- NC Coding
- PLM Systems (Siemens Teamcenter Preferred)
- ICIDO
- FeatureCam, NXCAM or Equivalent
- Complete life cycle of Manufacturing Project through PPAP and sustaining high-volume production
- Available to Travel
