At Micron, we are growing! As we collectively build toward a brighter future for semiconductor manufacturing in the United States, we are going to need you! We are presently seeking Process Engineering professionals with Dry Etch and Wet Etch experience that are wanting to work with some of the most sophisticated processes in the industry.
As Engineers, we maintain area processes by supporting manufacturing and increasing equipment up time. In this position, you will respond to production issues, implement solutions, reduce costs, and improve yields. We are encouraged to perform process development work on new parts. Additionally, we use statistical process controls and data analysis to support and supervise the performance of tools.
You will work with other engineering areas to resolve various integration and defect related issues, lead actions outside areas of direct responsibility as required to resolve broader issues, lead interaction with vendor groups to drive support, improvement and demonstration activities, and develop process and procedural improvements, as well as provide detailed documentation and training to shift personnel as required. You will also identify efficiency improvements and equipment optimization to improve product quality and reduce system cost of ownership. All work will be done in accordance with Micron's core values.
It is further encouraged that you develop strong equipment knowledge as a process engineer. This may include hands-on experience and/or projects to improve equipment quality, efficiency, or cost reduction.
The selected candidate(s):

  • Must be detail oriented and data driven to supervise process performance
  • Must possess sound methodology for prioritizing work, setting priorities, and building a work plan
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong collaboration skills to help encourage good teamwork among colleagues and vendor counterparts
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be willing to take full ownership and responsibility of a workstation, and drive to be the global benchmark.
  • Must have a basic understanding of device theory
  • Strong semiconductor process knowledge
  • Must understand Statistical Process Control theory and applications
  • Must meet engineer eligibility through relevant education and/or equivalent experience


The preferred candidate will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor processes (Dry Etch, Wet Etch, CMP, and others)
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Applied knowledge in a manufacturing setting
  • Previous semiconductor fabrication engineering experience, particularly on 300mm toolsets


Education
MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics is preferred; however, other engineering subject areas may be considered
