Overview:

Proactive Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to implement capabilities including best practice, audits, enhanced monitoring, and automated problem management on Allscripts . This individual will work closely with the Business Unit leaders, Support leadership team, SDO, Allscripts internal IT, partners and vendors.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and implementation of best practices for monitoring, and automated problem management solutions.
  • Help Improve tooling and process capabilities including:
    • Increased automation
    • Better functionality
    • Better integration with other tools
    • Increased business analytics
  • Strong problem management and development management skills
  • Ability to measure, understand, and identify new success criteria in proactive services capabilities.
  • Knowledge of end to end proactive management systems including monitoring tools such as BMC, EG Innovations, GFI Max, EMC SMARTS, and CA
  • Work with IT, BU, and Clients during design and implementation to shape the technical feature set
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.

  • Coach, and mentor junior team members and provide leadership to the
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team
  • Provide data to generate team performance
  • Knowledge transfer with other team members to improve overall team education level
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all
  • Actively participate in the project meetings and make valuable


Requirements:

Academic and professional qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, management information systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Post-graduation qualifications or technical certifications


Experience:
  • 8-10 year's of experience with monitoring and proactive management systems/environments.
  • Knowledge on Application/Infrastructure Monitoring tools/solutions: DynaTrace/AppDynamics/NewRelic or other Application Performance management tool etc.
  • Experience in Windows servers infrastructure and .Net based Application Support
    • IIS, worker process thread, Web config, Certificate binding
    • Event Logs
    • Server Performance metrics - CPU, Memory, Queue length, MSMQ, I/O, Page writes
    • Perfmon
    • Windows cluster
    • COM+
    • Log Parser
  • Intermediate experience with SQL. E.g. SQL Jobs, SQL queries, Blocking, Always On
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Service desk/ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework (V3.0 foundation certificate)
  • Knowledge/Experience on office applications, Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access
  • Knowledge of Allscripts EMR (Hosted & OnPrem)


Travel:
  • Requires occasional travel for business
