About the job
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Principal Solutions Architect for our Hyperscaler Partners (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, etc.) in the Global Partners Ecosystem Group for the Telco, Media, and Entertainment, Edge (TME) to join us in the U.S. In this role, you will work together with partner managers and build together the Partner Executive team. You will lead TME Sales teams to develop and promote opportunities and business within key Cloud and Hyperscaler Partners and TME customer accounts globally. You will help your partners and customers invest in cloud infrastructure and services that will give them maximum flexibility and allow them to make their TME offerings faster and more reliable by engaging, meeting, and demonstrating that Red Hat's solutions match their needs and expectations. You will collaborate with various internal, partner, and customer teams to define plans, tactics, and strategies to support customers on the technical solutions from Red Hat applied to TME.
This role can be based in any major U.S. city. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Advocate for the value of Red Hat's solutions; work with a partner manager and collaborate with the extended team to focus on the best manner in which to address partner and customer needs
  • Define, document, present, and demonstrate how the Red Hat solutions portfolio can enable next-generation cloud architectures for TME providers, network functions virtualization (NFV) and in the operations support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS) spaces
  • Partner with global and regional teams to address TME partners and customers and their technical teams to gain market share
  • Work with the ecosystem to position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telecommunications and NFV infrastructures, e.g., independent software vendors (ISVs), network equipment providers (NEPs), telecommunications, cloud providers, integrators, and hardware vendors
  • Deliver expert-level presentations and demonstrations for Red Hat's offerings and solutions in the context of telco IT operations teams and networks
  • Design value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment (ROI) of these technologies
  • Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes


What you will bring

  • 15+ years of professional background in the cloud, telco, media, or Edge domains
  • Excellent conceptual skills that can address the complexity of today's TME environments with the power of Red Hat's software capabilities to define the potential of next-generation service provider and related ecosystem environments
  • Extensive industry knowledge and market insights; good understanding of current, new, and future technologies and business directions
  • Build and maintain management and C-level relationships with Red Hat's partners and customers that result in deeper loyalty to Red Hat and broader adoption of Red Hat's solutions
  • Solid skills in telco, media, and Edge domains with business, technology, and operations transformation to the cloud, including virtualization, container platforms, microservices, data analytics, AI/ML, automation, and related
  • Understanding of the existing and new technologies used by the TME industries, including 5G, internet of things (IoT), media and entertainment, software-defined networking (SDN), NFV, and OSS and BSS
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
