Job Summary
This position is for a software engineer with experience developing software for military systems, using C, C++, C#, Java or any similar object oriented SW development language. Previous real time embedded software is a highly desired attribute for potential candidates. Prior experience developing software for radar systems is a plus. The position involves the development of radar software and/or development of software used to analyze or test radar products.

Additional assignment duties include:

  • Designing and implementing and directing the development of new radar control, signal processing, and interface software.
  • Assessment of verification requirements of the various tools used during testing.
  • Effectively communicating technical knowledge regarding test and radar control software development requirements when working with systems engineers and program team.
  • Supporting and contributing to Agile software scrums using DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Providing technical leadership to small teams, to include leadership of Agile software scrums using DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Identifying, recommending and implementing risk mitigation activities to reduce cost, schedule and technical risks.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Providing support for bids and proposal efforts.
  • Program planning and execution (cost, schedule and performance).
  • IMS and EVMS implementation and execution, meeting EAC requirements.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years software development experience.
  • Real time embedded software development and integration experience.
  • Experience programming in multiple modern programming languages, including C++ and C.
  • Experience with python, perl or any similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with multiple phases of software lifecycle, including software implementation and system integration.
  • Experience with software management using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
  • Effectively communicating technical knowledge and collaboration with agile scrum teams and other engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Existing Secret DoD Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. (Existing clearance preferred)


Desired Skills/ Experience:

  • Experience developing and integrating software for a large Radar or other sensor system.
  • Prior radar software development experience.
    • ISAR, SAR, GMTI, MMTI or HRR mode experience is a plus.
  • Prior radar signal processing experience.
  • Prior experience developing algorithmic, system control, or low level infrastructure SW.
  • Experience with Matlab.
  • DO178 Safety Software Certification Experience
  • Prior experience developing security (i.e. Anti-Tamper, Cyber, etc.) software
  • Understanding of AI/ML and/or GPU technologies.
  • Hard real time application development experience or experience with HW/SW level interfaces.
  • Experience in execution of tasks with little to no direction and to lead the efforts of others.
  • Proven experience working with technically skilled teammates and customers.
  • Experience with large complex systems such as radars.


Required Education:
Must have a BS / BA with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
