FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Principal Software Engineer in Cincinnati, OH, to analyze, design, program, debug, and build new software products. Work on the planning, designing and coding of enhancements for current offerings. Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Work with cross-functional teams to build software solutions for current issues or to incorporate advancements in technology as FIS searches for ways to continuously improve their catalog of products and services, create and maintain stable, reliable systems and software for clients and partners. Participate in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Work on numerous projects, including enhancements, new features and bug fixes and selects best software development methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Write code, complete programming and perform testing of software in preparation for deployment using current programming languages and technologies. Analyze situations and data requirements to determine appropriate software solutions. Work cross-functionally to address issues and emerging needs in software systems and applications. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Product teams on systems application. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and external audiences.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: developing large and complex software solutions utilizing technologies including Java and J2EE; designing and developing portal solutions using IBM WebSphere, Liferay portal technologies; developing mobile friendly responsive user interfaces and themes using JavaScript libraries including jQuery, Angular, HTML5, and CSS; designing web content management templates and setting up content publishing staging servers; supporting performance tuning of portal applications and environments; creating complex Database SQL queries utilizing DB2 and SQL Server; and designing and developing applications using features of Spring Framework including Spring Batch and Spring MVC. Telecommuting and/or working from home is permissible.
