About the Team
VIZIO is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to play an important role in leading other software engineers in implementing projects. You will: Design, Implement, and Test software related to our software/services. The Principal Engineer will manage a team and communicate designs and decisions within the team and will encourage new ideas and solutions.
What You Will Do

• Be involved with every stage of the application software development process
• Design APIs/SDKs used by other teams, both internal and external to the company.
• Code and build high quality embedded applications for next generation TV apps.
• Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineer.
• Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product.
• Participate in architecture discussions and planning.
• Participate in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams.
• Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members' success.
• Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond.
• Vocally advocate for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions

• Experience with systems programming in C, C++ is must and UI development in HTML, XML, JS is required.
• Experience with OpenGL, animations, native applications development preferred.
• Experience working with modern build systems.
• Attention to details, provide focused project management, accurate and detailed system analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
