What you'll do...
The position will have an option to work out of Sunnyvale, CA or Hoboken, NJ location
Walmart's Search team provides search capabilities for Walmart e-commerce and Stores. We leverage ML to provide best search results to our customers. Productivity and Tools Engineering team (PTE) is focused on operational support, automation, and tooling. PTE team is focused on both internal and external customers, it's uniquely positioned to delivery productivity improvements for the engineers, data scientists, merchants, and search operations, as well as overall cost savings. PTE team consists of Operations, Tooling, and Automation. You will join PTE team with the focus on Automation.

You'll make an impact by :

• De signing best-in-class performance benchmarking system - Expand our Gatling-based performance benchmarking system to support the variety of the use cases across Walmart Search
• Recommending methodology - go deep into performance management concepts and deliver solutions and methodology for various Search services and ecosystems
• Building strategic relationships - Partner with Enterprise Platform teams to influence productivity across the company
• Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing code quality via reviews, coverage , automation for core application and peer teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software development experience, with emphasis on operations.
• Excellent knowledge of Operational Excellence concepts and practices
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies and designing solutions deployed to Azure and GCP .
• In-depth knowledge of Go, Java, J2EE, Docker, RESTful Web Services, GraphQL , Spring , Kubernetes
• Should be a hands-on architect with ability to write well documented code
• Ability to come up with design and coding best practices
• Experience with performance monitoring tools
• Knowledge of industry best practices for code quality and architecture
• Ability to compare different frameworks and tools and suggest the best option given the client requirements
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work across teams
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
