Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to perform Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance. This individual will do both engineering and infrastructure work.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture, Design, Code Reviews for Operational processes around Data receipt and Validation
  • Proficient in scripting using: Python, SQL, PL SQL, KSH
  • Docker container build, deploy and maintain
  • Azure infrastructure preferred (Some AWS but moving to Azure)
  • Management of passwords and API's in secrets manager.
  • Assist Life Science Data Partners technology questions/solutions
  • Creation of Azure services and storage
  • Modification of user roles and permissions.
  • Database administration (minimal)
  • Server moves and code upgrades.



Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience and industry experience



Experience:

  • Relational database development - Version control and continuous integration
  • Being a leader in agile teams, enabling them to deliver secure, scalable solutions
  • Design solutions using standard architecture patterns with regard to naming standards, error handling, processing efficiencies, logging, notifications
  • DIUP development and testing
  • 5+ yrs in one or more of the following: Cloud development (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Document storage technologies (AWS S3, Azure Blobs, Snowflake, SQL Server, Flat Files)
  • Messaging systems (EMAIL, AWS SQS, ActiveMQ, etc.)



Travel Requirements:

  • Very little or no travel required for this role



Working Arrangements:

  • Remote- standard office environment
