What we're looking for:

A Staff Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages. Someone who has gained hands on programming skills and has extensive knowledge of programming constructs, data structures, algorithms and scripting languages/framework with a strong passion for solving complex problems. We are looking for someone to drive and lead projects in the areas of distributed systems, machine learning operations, and security analytics. Position Overview:

As part of the Citrix Analytics Service/Security organization, our Engineering and Data Science teams develop solutions to cyber security challenges by aggregating data across users, devices, networks, applications, and files and generate actionable insights. We employ statistical and Machine Learning techniques to provide visibility into user and application behavior and identify indicators of risk. Our solutions are cloud based, and across Citrix portfolio as well as third-party products. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated software engineering leader who is interested in taking on challenges associated with security, performance, scale, usability, and visibility of machine learning models in a distributed environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with architects and product managers to understand the gaps in the product/solution, and leads the team in implementing those
  • Designs and implements highly scalable batch and streaming spark applications
  • Leads the deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our analytics applications in a cloud environment
  • Identifies and addresses performance and scale issues of spark applications
  • Works on improving the infrastructure for optimally running Machine Learning pipelines
  • Participates in and contributes to our quarterly project planning activities
  • Strong team player who can lead a small team in delivering features



Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred, with at least 8 years of directly related work experience. Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid Computer Science foundations in Algorithms and Data structures
  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies and hands-on development experience on AWS/Azure/GCP or similar cloud provider
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and build systems such as Jenkins or similar
  • Hands-on experience with Distributed Systems and Big Data
  • Expertise in OOP and at least one language of Python, Java, Scala
  • Proficiency with messaging systems such as Kafka
  • Experience with database and query systems/software such as SQL, Druid, Hive
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning methodology and operations
  • Exposure to Agile Methodologies
  • Familiarity with the Security concepts is a plus
