Overview
Come join the Intuit Identity Platform Team as a Principal Software Engineer (System Engineering). Identity platform is at the heart of all offerings across Intuit and is foundation to strategic transformation of Intuit. Identity at Intuit is one of the most critical services powering close to 500+ applications services and is enabling three out of the five strategic bets that Intuit has. It also has large scale expectations of about half a million concurrent sessions. Identity capabilities is expected to position Intuit at the center of the financial ecosystem and enable fluid exchange of Identity, profile and data across an ecosystem of financial institutions. Identity's technical stack is cloud native microservices based architecture fully operating on AWS cloud.
Identity is accountable for authentication, authorization and identity lifecycle management capabilities and is delivered through platform capabilities and pluggable experiences across mobile and web. Ideal candidate will be someone who can lead through capabilities across both backend capabilities and front end engineering to enable widgetized experiences as a platform.
What you'll bring
- Strong educational background with BS / MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated strength in cloud native technologies and operating in the cloud.
- Demonstrated experience operating high scale services in the cloud. Demonstrated experience in designing highly resilient services and building recovery mechanisms.
- Strong experience in object oriented programming languages like Java.
- Demonstrated experience in building experiences on modern web technologies. Good understanding of developing widgetized experiences and extensible UI platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring engineers and playing a strong role in evolving engineering best practices.
- Ability to operate at varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to high level technical design to detailed technical design to implementation.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment for iterative project turnarounds on mission critical systems.
- Multiple years of experience of developing, deploying and operating services.
- Ability to collaborate across a wide range of roles and experience levels in a global setup. Strong communication skills.
How you will lead
- Drive target state architecture for Intuit wide capabilities that will solve critical customer problems. This typically involves collaborating actively with technical leaders across Intuit.
- Drive technical target state and implementation to develop componentized experiences using modern web frameworks like React and deliver microservices with in the public cloud with java on kubernetes
- Implement key architectural components across both backend and front end technologies
- Be a role model in full cycle engineering. Demonstrate deep expertise across the software lifecycle including design, implementation and operationalization
- Actively evolve target state working with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Management, Q/A and Production Operations to develop, test, and release features
- Continuously evolve development practices and operational maturity through structured root cause analysis and monitoring.
- Be a role model to engineers and inspiring high technical bar for the team.
