The Opportunity

The Ally Technology Lab is charged with identifying and capitalizing on emerging technology trends to drive enterprise value by partnering with teams across Ally. We lead the charge in spotting industry trends and leveraging outside in thinking to demonstrate the art of the possible thru proof of technology and rapid prototyping. We are looking for full stack developers to join this growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who loves experimentation, has a proven track record of introducing game changing technology solutions and has a keen interest in understanding enterprise needs and identifying unconventional opportunities for success. You should have a passion for finding the art of the possible thru experimentation and have published work to back it up. You should also understand enterprise scalability and build prototypes with an eye full scale commercialization.

The Work Itself

  • Rapidly develop enterprise software based on requirement documents, prototypes, or verbal requirements
  • Learn and adopt new concepts & technologies quickly and implement them effectively in projects
  • Work across peer groups to resolve and understand complex technical/design issues.
  • Rapid prototying and development with middleware Java stack, Spring, messaging technologies and web containers, Client side tech stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Angular/React
  • Study new and emerging technologies and carry out POCs.
  • Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.


The Skills You Bring

  • 5+years of proven ability to build high-quality, test-driven end-to-end systems
  • Expertise in developing cloud native solutions
  • Deep knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and their application to business opportunities.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, node, Express, Angular and Java although we're open to strong developers with experience in other languages or frameworks and a desire to learn.
  • Expertise in various relational and no SQL database technologies
  • Someone who writes clean, maintainable code and refactors and improves the codebase as they add features to it
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
