Principal Product Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineer

As a member of the Global Quality team, you will be a guardian of Micron's brand. You will innovate creative solutions to prevent problems with product performance before they occur and minimize the impact when they do. You will also be on the frontlines of meaningful customer issues. In all you do, you will demonstrate your technical knowledge and creativity to deliver efficient and effective solutions!
As a Product Quality and Reliability Assurance (PQRA) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will establish and execute Quality and Reliability requirements, specifications, and metrics such as Defects per Million (DPM), Failures in Time (FIT), and Lifetime.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure product reliability methods are established and followed, perform risk assessments, and provide support for manufacturing teams regarding reliability issues. You will:
Conduct New Product Qualifications
- Define, develop and own DRAM Module and Emerging Memory Qualification readiness throughout the product development lifecycle while defining and owning the requirements
- Perform risk assessment at all decision points within the Qualification cycle
- Review qualification data and certify that Qualification requirements have been met
Develop Product Reliability Methodology, Monitors, Metrics, and Specifications
- Collaborate across test, product development, system, package, customer facing teams to develop and establish reliability test methods, targets and standards.
- Develop and improve reliability monitors post qualification to ensure outgoing product quality meets required criterion.
- Coordinate and drive vital specification improvements for existing products
Establish and Implement Quality Requirements
- Establish innovative and effective methods to improve quality and review ongoing product Quality Metrics
- Review and support process Excursion Analysis
- Communicate violations to defined release/acceptance criteria
- Communicate issues and corrective actions across all Micron products
Provide Internal Technical Support for Customer Support Teams
- Assist RMA Team with detailed analysis of returned material and provide resolution for the fail
- Investigate manufacturing history and identify issues related to customer failure signature
- Develop Reliability Process Monitor (RPM) plans
- Assist with vital corrective actions at the manufacturing level
- Comprehend field failure rates relative to internal failure rates
Education:
- B.S./M.S. in Engineering or related field of study
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years or more engineering experience with memory systems and/or products in one or more of the following areas:
- Product Quality and Reliability, Product Engineering, Product Test, Product Design, Board Quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with non-DRAM BoM (PMIC, RCD, DB, HuB) on module and/or Emerging memory development.
