The Cloud Hardware Experience Engineering Team within Azure Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering group is responsible for providing and servicing the hardware that powers our datacenters, improving customer experience, and manage the hardware quality of Microsoft Azure. We are looking for a passionate Hardware Engineer Manager with exceptional leadership skill and passion for customer experience to lead the qualification strategy and logistics to support Cloud infrastructures at scale. You will be working with the latest technologies that go into building a hyperscale cloud services

The Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (CHIE) team in Microsoft's Azure C+E division is responsible for delivering server infrastructure for Microsoft's online services. The hardware for operating these services, comprises of hundreds of thousands of servers spread globally and applications that reach hundreds of millions of users every day. Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership - working across Azure CHIE team to define and develop the technology roadmap
  • Technology Partnership - build strong relationships with partner teams to drive schedule and engineering efficiency
  • Organizational Leadership - manage, lead, grow and mentor an outstanding Engineering team of hardware and software engineers
  • Continuous Improvement - drive process improvement/optimization to achieve more
  • Customer Focus - partner with Azure team to deliver high quality products to our data centers



Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of modern server architectures, including datacenter operations and workflows
  • 10+ years of experience with strong technical management, program management, and cross-group collaboration skills
  • 5+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, create a high performing, healthy and scalable organization
  • Passion for customer experience and learning world class techniques and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
