Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps. Site Reliability Engineering at Solutran is the application of software engineering to the challenges posed by intermittent failures in large-scale distributed systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement systems and processes for ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of the S3 payments network
• Collaborate with other teams, including Quality Engineering, infrastructure, and Optum Tech, to architect to complete functional correctness along with high availability and low latencies
• Continuously improve the Quality of our network through increased reliability, security and performance
• Lead and mentor a team of SREs and Quality Engineers, providing technical guidance and direction to team members
• Ultimately responsible for Solutran's key payments network metrics of availability and latency at peak throughput

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of combined experience in software engineering roles, with at least 2+ years of experience with a focus on quality, automation, reliability, observability, monitoring, incident management, or architecture in large scale, highly available distributed systems
• 2+ years of experience using cloud infrastructure providers, with Azure and OCI
• Experience with payments systems and networks including a deep understanding of the technical challenges that they face
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies and apply them to Site Reliability
