At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.​

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

The Commerce Organization is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy with an important contribution to the company's revenue, customer growth and innovation. The Checkout Experience team is responsible for systems that handle all necessary functions for merchants and customers to transact online. We provide management tools and APIs for merchants to set up and launch their ecommerce ventures. The Checkout UI and APIs collects and verifies customer and payment data so customers can checkout from anywhere quickly and securely. Our platform powers millions of small business ventures and we take stability, performance and security seriously.

We’re looking for a strongly driven engineer with experience in JavaScript/Typescript (Node/React) and other modern technologies who are excited about building products that delight our users and empower millions of small businesses. You will be a leader in helping shape the next generation of our ecommerce checkout experience.

What you’ll get to do…

• Work with and drive broad range of technologies, processes, and systems to solve challenging problems
• Design and implement mission critical systems, products and solutions that impacts millions of people and businesses
• Create elegant and functional user interfaces. Explore new opportunities for the next generation of checkout experience
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company such as product, design, infrastructure, and operations
• Work collaboratively with a distributed and tight-knit team. Mentor, lead and support team members to drive success
• Work with production systems and on-call process
• Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding standard processes

Your experience should include...

• 7+ years of professional Software industry experience
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and Typescript
• 3+ years modern frontend technologies - React or Next.js preferred
• Experienced in large scale cloud/API services, distributed systems, databases (SQL and NoSQL), REST, HTTP, OAuth2, and security
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experienced in developing and deploying production software in the cloud
• Passion for quality, user experience, and innovative technologies

You might also have...

• CICD and automation experience
• Some experience in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails is a plus
