Job Summary

To meet our growing demands, Wolfspeed has established a mobility program for our Power business unit. This is specifically targeting new or recent graduates who are interested in diving into all aspects of the semiconductor business. Our target start date is July 11, 2022. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong track record of innovation and ingenuity.

As a Rotational Program participant, you'll spend 2 years in a unique rotational training program before employment. Participants will have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the business by working on meaningful and strategic projects, building relationships with various groups within the organization, and developing leadership skills, all of which preparing you for the next stage in your career. You will be traveling between our Arkansas and North Carolina locations, sponsored by Wolfspeed.

Examples of Projects:

  • Design and implement test plans in a product development environment
  • Research, configure, purchase, and install new equipment to support expanding test needs
  • Support existing products by analyzing and troubleshooting device failures in support of continuous improvement
  • Research and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures to support departmental objectives relative to quality, cost, time to market, and overall product and system performance
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure mass production testing aligns with the goals and best practices developed during product development



Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or applicable field
  • Experience with power electronics reliability
  • Experience with multi-chip power module design and assembly processes
  • Understanding of applied statistics and experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and personal relationship skills
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of efficiently tracking large amounts of data from numerous products simultaneously
  • Ability to lead a project from the initial concept phase all the way through to implementation
  • Ability to use critical thinking to make sound decisions
  • Must be a hands-on self-starter with the ability to drive projects working independently and/or collaboratively within a team



Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • Master's Degree or higher in applicable field
  • Experience with SiC power module reliability
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software
  • Familiarity with FMEA process
  • Experience working with medium and high-voltage power electronics
  • Experience working with LabVIEW
  • Familiar with failure analysis techniques such as SAM, SEM, EDX, X-ray, etc.
