Power Rotation Program - Power Product Engineer

To meet our growing demands, Wolfspeed has established a mobility program for our Power business unit. This is specifically targeting new or recent graduates who are interested in diving into all aspects of the semiconductor business. Our target start date is July 11, 2022. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong track record of innovation and ingenuity.

As a mobility program participant, you'll spend your first 2 years in a unique rotational training program before employment. Participants will have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the business by working on meaningful and strategic projects, building relationships with various groups within the organization, and developing leadership skills, all of which preparing you for the next stage in your career. You will be traveling between our Arkansas and North Carolina locations, sponsored by Wolfspeed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and execute reliability test plans based on market segment needs, customer mission profiles, and industry test method references
  • Support the validation of new materials and processes for new technology introduction
  • Evaluate the reliability of new products and validate design changes to existing products
  • Work with the new product introduction team to create a comprehensive library of materials and assembly methods with their respective reliability and cost impacts
  • Research, design, develop, and implement new reliability test methodologies to support new and expanding power module market segments
  • Support existing products by analyzing and troubleshooting failure analysis in support of continuous improvement



Requirements:

  • B.S. or higher degree in Electrical Engineering , Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Power semiconductor device knowledge
  • Working knowledge of power semiconductor testing, qualification and reliability.
  • Knowledge and experience of product qualification to Automotive standards, particularly AEC-Q101 Discrete product standards.
  • Experience in process engineering, test, process integration or product engineering in a semiconductor manufacturing company
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device fabrication
