The Senior Staff Power Engineer provides technical support for Digital and RF programs in the area of power supply design, power systems test, and power subsystems; provides mentorship in addition to timely problem resolution through root cause and corrective action techniques. In this role, you will builds/modifies procedures and seeks opportunities for improved efficiencies as well as perform simulation of Power Supply circuits. The individual will work alongside other Senior and Junior Engineers and across various programs to design power circuits, power distribution, power conversion to support system requirements and power test procedures/reports (MIL STD 704). The individual will also research and document Supplier qualification claims, review qualification data (procedures and test reports) for supplier power equipment such as transformers, switch fly back, power converters, and other power devices.
Location: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse, New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Niagara Falls, NYC, & Philadelphia are all within a few hours' drive from Owego. Basic Qualifications:
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
-Professional working knowledge of Analog Circuits, design and analysis.
-Familiarity and knowledge of Power Systems design including Linear and Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
-Experience with Lab Equipment - O-Scopes, DVMs, AC/DC Power supplies etc.
-Knowledge of PCB design.
-Ability to obtain and hold a DOD Security clearance will require US Citizenship.
-Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written/verbal skills
-Able to work efficiently in a diverse team environment.
-Demonstrated ability to act independently
-Shown problem solving and conflict resolution skills
-Knowledge of 3U/6U Pluggable Standard Power Supplies
-Earned value Management/Work Package Management
Desired Skills:
-PSPICE and/or LTSPICE tool Experience.
-Power System Simulation and Modeling Experience - PSIM
-AC/DC and DC/DC Converter Design Experience
-Familiarity with EMC and Electrical Safety Standards.
-Experience working with Power filter/power quality/EMI
-Harmonic distortion, ripple, noise.
-Design for pulsed load and high power applications
-Experience utilizing circuit design, component layout, board layout and schematics.
-Experience using GaN, and SiC components
-Experience with PMBus

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
