GNSS/PNT/NAVWAR Communications Engineer

The successful candidate will have directly applicable experience in one or more disciplines of GPS, PNT, NAVWAR, and/or Communications engineering. This position reports to the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Supervisor in support of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver integration software development, GNSS receiver testing, NAVWAR hardware and software development, and system onsite support. This support includes the ability to perform hardware-in-the-loop and live sky testing by integrating hardware and assets with software tools, and the ability to articulate simulation/test results. A successful candidate has a high interest in GNSS and GNSS receivers, a desire to continuously learn, and the ability to be a contributing member of a small team. The successful candidate must be comfortable dealing with requirements changes, be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical onsite support for all company products - training provided
  • Provides technical demonstrations and explains company product capabilities to customers
  • Develops GNSS receiver software controllers
  • Understands and implements all aspects of the software development lifecycle - material provided
  • Actively participates in all hardware and software verification testing efforts
  • Understands the GNSS RF environment and GNSS Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) threats
  • Develops user and test documentation
  • Analyzes test results to fix bugs or properly portray system performance


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently/efficiently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interest in RF, Satellite Systems, and GNSS Receivers
  • Strong communications skills
  • Some experience in Satellite Remote Sensing or Communications
  • US Citizen and ability to acquire/retain a security clearance


Desired

  • 1-3 years' experience in GPS-PNT-Communications engineering (preferably in GNSS)
  • 1-3 years' experience in Hardware Serial Communications and Network Communications
  • Strong working knowledge of C# or other software development languages
