Your focus in the role will be to facilitate the growth of our engineering and data teams by building out our platform-as-a-product. You will work with engineers to understand their needs and support the development of high performance, reliable, and secure services.
You will join an existing environment built on AWS, with Terraform as our infrastructure-as-code tool of choice. We deploy our applications to EKS, supported by AWS Lambda for data pipelines and async jobs. Helm and ArgoCD enable us to manage our Kubernetes deployments as code. We use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry to monitor our services, and leverage GitHub Actions for CI/CD. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the developer experience and the reliability of our platform.
After three months on the job you will have:
- Worked with Thyme Box (the internal application powering Thyme Care’s outreach and interventions) and the data pipelines that feed into it.
- Owned projects in our infrastructure end-to-end, such as the design of a versioning and release strategy for Helm chart changes.
After six months you will have:
- Led development of numerous features in the existing platform.
- Contributed to the architectural design of a net-new infrastructure to support Thyme Care’s first mobile application.
- Performed discovery with stakeholders on the engineering and data teams to help extend the roadmap for Thyme Care’s platform-as-a-product.
- Established monitoring of key platform metrics such as mean time to restore, change fail percentage, and user satisfaction.
