The Platform Engineer Standards (Linux) is an enterprise level systems engineer who will work on the Linux side of a key project focusing on maintaining system currency and consistency and working alongside other teams to align technologies and resolve issues.
The successful candidate will have experience in repeat deployments using industry standard tooling, be capable of documenting secure configuration standards and demonstrate the ability to work with other members of a wider team to ensure standards are met and processes are followed consistently.

More specifically, you will:

• Have responsibility to keep Linux estate current and up to date
• Ensure there is one standardized configuration
• Work with security teams to ensure there are no vulnerabilities
• Testing new Linux builds as and when the technology becomes available
• Work closely with the Cloud team to ensure our approaches are aligned
• Act as an escalation point for the support teams as and when required
• Review support documentation
