Join Eaton's Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms. We are currently seeking a Platform Architect to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team. The candidate will be based at any Eaton US Facility.

Our Commercial Construction platform consists of a well-established team of engineers that focus on delivering meaningful digital experiences. As we continue to build on our capabilities in this space, we are looking to expand our skillset to support our customers and business that leverage our applications that set out to make it easier to do business with Eaton.

The Platform Architect provides high-quality code solutions to meet the needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support of web solutions. This platform architect will assist in shaping and supporting technical strategy, design, execution, and reliability. This role will help to establish standard methodologies and play an integral role on a growing team that is focused on delivering and maximizing business value.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments
  • Develop, communicate, and deploy architecture governance processes
  • Drive the application of emerging technologies to current Eaton environments
  • Drive solution architecture, ensure technical alignment, and facilitate technical solution delivery
  • Accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability, and capacity, demonstrating a commitment to quality
  • Works within Eaton's IT Organization to successfully influence the direction of key technical elements of the solution environment
  • Participation within Strategic Planning process
  • Design and provide solutions to fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end-users conforming to the standards established by the IT organization
  • Review and critique the solutions of others
  • Assess and direct IT project activities to ensure compliance with established IT and industry standards


Qualifications

Basic (Minimum) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a graduate of Eaton's Leadership Development Program is required
  • Minimum 3 years of IT experience is required
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship


Position Criteria:

  • Experience in Java Spring and Angular solutions and technologies.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices and architecting/integrating enterprise front and backend applications.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java Spring (SpringBoot preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience with Angular
  • 2+ years of experience working with APIs / microservices
  • Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle preferred)



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Experience architecting enterprise applications
  • Endpoint privileged management tools (e.g. BeyondTrust EPM)
  • Application Identity Manager / Credential Provider / Central Credential Provider
  • SSH connectivity / SSH key management best practices
  • Non-human identity governance best practices
  • API Integration security & scripting
  • Managing database credentials (Oracle & MS SQL)
  • Managing Privileged Accounts and APIs in Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Secrets Management best practices
  • Developing integrations between PAM and IGA solutions
