The Credit Assistance technology team is on a quest to modernize the technology stack that our business uses to help our clients get back on their feet. We will support our clients and our teammates by creating an amazing experience for them. We are investing significantly in technology to simplify the current landscape, automate complex business processes & digitizing our customers experience through innovation and creative problem solving.
As part of this journey, we need a dynamic, strategic, senior Pega developer who will play an instrumental role in defining and executing against a comprehensive strategy and a multi-generational roadmap. The role must be comfortable interacting with and influencing people at all levels across the organization. All candidates must be comfortable working in the "grey" and enjoy "digging in" to drive clarity on the problems we wish to solve.
Responsibilities:
Building the Solution Right

• Work with senior leaders to design, develop and be accountable for Pega-driven functionality
• Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, quality, and agile methodology
• Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt

Team Mentorship

• Play a leadership role as a senior developer (and individual contributor) to mentor the team
• Guide team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices)

Required Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills)

• Technology -
  • 5+ Years Relevant IT software experience (Technical) in Pega Development (w/latest being in ver 8.x)
  • Experience in Pega case management, Agents, Flows, Activities, Security, File listener, Email listener, User interface, as well as Reporting/BIX
  • Experience integrating with REST/SOAP Services
  • Experience with databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2
  • Experience with 3-tiered application development and support
  • Familiar with UNIX, Windows, File transfer utilities, process flow creation, .Net and Java technologies
• Proven track record in contributing/leading large complex technology transformations through completion
• Provide technical leadership in a matrix organization of skilled architect, engineers, and business partners
• Manage technical tasks, to ensure work is delivered on-time and on-budget.
• Effectively troubleshoot technical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle, including production
• Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management
• Ability to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization
• Ability to translate business objectives into technology designs, calling out risks and/or compromises based on constraints
• Ability to work independently on initiatives & responsibilities with little oversight

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Pega Certified at minimum PCSSA level

Desired Skills

• Prior experience in supporting financial systems and lines of business
• Understanding of Agile Kanban and Scrum
• Experience in Banking/ Finance Domain
• Exposure to Collections and Recovery Business
