About the job
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Ecosystem Technology Practice Lead to join our Sales team. In this role, you will work closely with the Red Hat's North America (NA) solution architects, regional sales managers across NA, fellow practice leads, business development managers, product owners, Red Hat Channels and Alliances and Field Enablement teams, and other teams to accelerate our sales objectives. You will be the central contact person to coordinate activities between these teams and solution architects in the field. As an Ecosystem Technology Practice Lead, you will actively engage in solution building using Red Hat's technologies and the broader Red Hat partner ecosystem. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Work with regional and global solutions architecture leadership, enablement teams, and sales management to set standards of solutions architecture ecosystem knowledge
  • Collaborate with the enablement, product, and services teams to develop and carry out sales plays, training programs, workshops, offering presentations, and other sales-related materials
  • Collaborate with other technologists to create cross-domain solutions and sales plays that incorporates ecosystem elements
  • Ensure that important ecosystem partnerships and collaboration announcements are delivered to members of the sales and solutions architecture teams and collected field feedback is delivered back to other teams
  • Work with other practice lead counterparts to explore using the ecosystem to strengthen the Red Hat's offerings and sales plays
  • Establish a relationship with the business units (BUs) to help guide better understanding of how Red Hat's offerings interact and interface with the ecosystem
  • Help with organizing solutions architecture-specific events


What you will bring

  • Experience with cloud and data engineering technologies and emerging trends, e.g., containers and orchestration, solution design, high scale data pipelines, distributed systems like blockchain, microservices, hybrid or multi-cloud systems, DevOps, machine learning, computer vision, or internet of things (IoT)
  • Record of experience working in technical sales with an understanding of channels, alliances, and business partner relationship management
  • Extensive experience working on teams in an influencer role to bring groups together
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable giving presentations and speaking in front of an audience
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
  • Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems in the areas of system administration, integration, or development is a plus
