Operations Solutions Architect - Job Description

The Operations Solutions Architect is responsible for evaluating Medical Solutions' business needs and determining how IT can support those needs by leveraging software, hardware, and/or infrastructure. A successful Operations Solutions Architect will strive to align IT services, products, software, and infrastructure with the business needs and goals of Medical Solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure resources, plans, and strategies are in tune with Medical Solutions' and the project's objectives.
  • Handle risk situations and meet deadlines for product delivery.
  • Ensure delivery architecture is designed according to policy standards and the solution is benchmarked both internally and externally.
  • Maintain a diverse knowledge across multiple systems and applications.
  • Ensure company best practices are upheld by processing all data according to legal and company guidelines.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop and identify potential solutions to support business needs or problems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Prepare and document testing requirements for all solutions.
  • Work with multiple business units to develop IT strategies and improve current IT implementations.
  • Build and migrate software and services across the organization.
  • Work with product and delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products.
  • Bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions.
  • Support project teams by accompanying the project at the implementation stages.

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with commercial projects or experience as a Systems & Operations Analyst.
  • Analytical and extremely comfortable working and building up complex solutions and financial models to define the proposed solutions and their associated costs.
  • Flexibility to work in a high demanding environment, with constant change and tight timelines.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Practical experience working with projects in a relevant domain.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and system thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and technical skills.
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis processes and techniques.

Preferences:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
