An Insider's view of AWL

What are some social events your company does?

Social events at AWL are awesome! Every year (before COVID) we have a Holiday party and super great summer out event. They are seriously a blast. The holiday party is my favorite because it gives you an opportunity to get dressed up and spend the evening celebrating the best time of the year and all the success of the company together.

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

In the 9 months I have worked at AWL I have been impressed with how well different departments collaborate together. This has been especially important as we have transitioned to 100% remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic. In-person training sessions for new employees became remote training sessions

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started in the Contact Center part-time and moved into a part-time Sales role quickly. Merit based promotions are the rule at AWL and I was promoted to full-time in Sales, then Sales Team Lead and I am have been the Senior Sales Team Lead for the past two years. Our Sales Team has grown and my career has grown with the team.

What makes someone successful on your team?

A person that will be successful on the team is someone that likes to dig deeper. The solutions aren't always as obvious as they seem. It's essential to ask other members of the team questions. They will usually go above and beyond to help you solve a problem. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask people outside of your team.
