New Product Operations Engineer

Description -

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will work alongside R&D, other NPI (new product introduction) engineers and program managers, procurement, and our manufacturing partner to ensure the manufacturing readiness of PCA's (printed circuit assembly) boards (for example formatters, accessories, scanner interface boards, etc) used in LaserJet printers.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Musts:

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement within general defined policies and practices to identify and select solutions
  • Adept at creating and executing plans to achieve desired goals
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple issues in parallel
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a simplified way
  • Comfortable in seeking advice when necessary, in order to make decisions on complex business issues
  • Demonstrated experience in being proactive
  • Typically 4-8 years' experience
  • Proficiency in English



Wants:

  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufactures including tasks such issuing change requests, coordinating the analysis of failed PCA boards, and responding to production critical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate to improve design by optimizing sourcing of components/suppliers, reducing cost, and representing manufacturing interests (DFM)
  • Demonstrated experience with failure modes of PCA's and the recommend solutions
  • Ability to research and select replacement components based on analysis of specifications and consultation with R&D
