Team Description

Our Engineering team is working to simplify the way people work together.    We’re building a family of products that handle over a billion files a day for people around the world.    The Network Engineering team builds and manages the network infrastructure that connects users to Dropbox products.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Network Automation and Infrastructure teams to understand requirements for our services, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Support existing services that monitor, capture state, and automate the configuration of Dropbox’s production networking infrastructure
  • Build well constructed services based on SOA guidelines.
  • Provide strong mentorship and code reviews for team members.
  • Provide key direction around our software projects, and look for opportunities to reduce toil.

 

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Highly skilled at developing and debugging in either Go and/or Python and language internals.
  • Experience with operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networking, distributed system design, compilers also a plus
  • Familiarity with Linux
