Team Description

Our Engineering team is working to simplify the way people work together. We’re building a family of products that handle over a billion files a day for people around the world. The Network Engineering team builds and manages the network infrastructure that connects users to Dropbox products.

Responsibilities

Work closely with our Network Automation and Infrastructure teams to understand requirements for our services, and ensure their needs are met.
Support existing services that monitor, capture state, and automate the configuration of Dropbox’s production networking infrastructure
Build well constructed services based on SOA guidelines.
Provide strong mentorship and code reviews for team members.
Provide key direction around our software projects, and look for opportunities to reduce toil.

Requirements

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
5+ years of professional software development experience
Highly skilled at developing and debugging in either Go and/or Python and language internals.
Experience with operating system internals, filesystems, databases, networking, distributed system design, compilers also a plus
Familiarity with Linux
