Job Summary
This position is a unique opportunity to get in at the beginning of a new department that already has a consistent track record of success. Aerospace Corporation's Advanced Crypto Capabilities Department is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer with the desire to learn and help us design, implement, assess, and deploy cyber solutions that defend our nation's most valuable assets in space. As part of this team with varied strengths, which includes some of the best in the industry, you will truly jump start your career within cyber security. This is the job you don't want to pass up!
This position will be considered a Hybrid work model in the Albuquerque, NM
What You'll Be Doing
  • Actively participate with our primary customers within the various DoD and Intelligence Community space systems
  • Perform research in the areas of cyber and network security
  • Advise customers on cryptographic design and implementation
  • Learning and reviewing network architecture designs, dataflow and performance deficiencies
  • Identify security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and be able to make recommended mitigations
  • Leading or participating in projects involving one or more of the following areas: Cyber Resilience, COMSEC, Cryptographic equipment, secure network engineering, cyber system trade-off studies for various system designs or protocols, validation of network system requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on network architectures and solutions based on technical performance evaluations

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements: Associate Member of Technical Staff
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • 6 months-2 years of full spectrum cyber security experience (we will train you, but you need the desire to learn!)
  • Willing to travel approximately 10% of the time
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Ability to learn and willingness to be challenged
  • Ability to identify and tackle problems effectively and efficiently using analytical skills
  • A foundational understanding of computer networking fundamentals to include the TCP/IP model, packet structure as well as common ports and protocols.
