Network Engineer
Key Role:
Determine user requirements and design specifications for networks. Monitor networks to ensure network availability to system users. Perform necessary maintenance to support network availability and plan, schedule, and c ond uct the installation of new or modified hardware and asso cia ted operating systems and sof tware applications. Design and c ond uct tests and evaluations of networks and analyze and organize the corresp ond ing hardware and sof tware combined solutions through network modeling and planning. Perform system-level design and configuration of products, including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications. Evaluate new network te chn ologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding integration of these te chn ologies into the existing network. Plan new network configurations and integration into existing networks to maintain optimal performance. Apply subject matter expertise to achieve joint full spectrum network interoperability and integration.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with in-depth understanding of Network Infrastructure Design as it relates to the architecture, topology of sof tware, hardware, and networks, including LANS / WANS, their components and asso cia ted protocols and standards, and how they integrate with one another
-Knowledge of Network Engineering principles, methods, and tools for integrating components to develop a functional system or prototype to test the security of computer networks
-Ability to deploy, configure, improve, and support scalable production and corporate network infrastructure following enterprise best practices
-TS / SCI clearance with a polygraph
-Bachelor's degree
