Senior Network Engineer

Our services span collectible coins, trading cards, video games, event tickets, autographs, and memorabilia through our subsidiaries, which include Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA), Professional Coin Grading Services (PCGS), Wata, Certified Coin Exchange (CCE), Collectors Corner, Set Registry, Collectors.com, and the Long Beach Expo collectibles trade show. Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated more than 80 million items. We employ over 1,000 people across our Santa Ana, CA headquarters, New Jersey, Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo.
We have a wide variety of needs across the engineering organization - most roles are remote friendly, however we have select positions that require a hybrid onsite presence.
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help drive our networking needs within our Santa Ana and Jersey City office locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Design complex networks and implement next generation equipment including hybrid on-premise + cloud (Azure & AWS) environments, co-locations and branch sites. (Santa Ana, New Jersey, NYC, Delaware, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris)
- Implement, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot IT/Network Infrastructure for optimal performance & ensure high 24/7 uptime availability. (i.e. Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, F5, Security devices)
- Handles network support for all employees of the organization
- Document IT/Network Infrastructure, Instructions/Procedures/Policies, tickets & Root Cause Analysis
- Works with vendors for implementation & troubleshooting of IT/Network systems
- Develop, monitor & enforce policies for the use of network resources
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, implementation and recovery
- Design, maintain, upgrade and secure CU’s security networks
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades
- Creates solutions and implements IT/Cloud/network automation
- A passion for creating maintainable systems and an aversion to creating technical debt of any kind
- Travel to other Collectors’ offices to set up or configure the physical network occasionally
Who You Are (Please note you do not need to meet all of the requirements to apply):
- 3+ years of experience with routers and switches (i.e. Cisco, Meraki, Mellanox)
- 3+ years of experience with firewalls (i.e. Palo Alto, Cisco)
- 3 + years of experience with WIFI & wireless bridges network setup (i.e. Cisco, Meraki, Aruba)
- Deadline-driven with the ability to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge in managing cisco devices in CLI
- Strong knowledge of best practices in network design, security, devices, appliances, architecture, protocols and topology
- Experience with setting up WAN connections for highly redundant multi-site network infrastructure (i.e. SD-WAN, Megaport, AWS Direct Connect/Transit Gateway, MPLS, IPSEC)
- Strong knowledge in routing, switching, and security including but not limited to tcp, udp, ospf, bgp, hsrp, stp, trunking, port-channeling, vpc, port-spanning, various network topologies - DNS, DHCP, SSH/SFTP, TFTP etc.
- Strong experience in network security. (AAA, tacacs, firewalls, IPS/IDS, log analysis, vulnerability scanning)
- Experience with network tools and analysis. (capturing pcap files with wireshark, nmap, solarwinds, log servers, backups, etc).
- Work independently with minimal supervision as well as working in a team
- Occasionally need to lift up to 30lbs of equipment and snoop, bend, crawl for periods of time
- Able to travel to out of state facilities occasionally
Pluses:
- Experience with cloud network infrastructure and security controls (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with cloud base Web Application Firewall (WAF) and bot management (i.e. Cloudflare, PerimeterX)
- Fluency in Linux
- PCI compliance experience
- Proficiency with scripting such as python or ansible, or other for network automation tools
- Experience implementing IPv6
- Cisco DNA/DCNM
- Experience in implementing and verifying a full disaster recovery scenario
