Job Description :

The Network Engineer position is responsible for completing tasks which include resolving work order and incident tickets, patching, vulnerability remediation and compliance related tasks for global locations under moderate supervision. In addition, within the Nashville locations, they will assist with the physical installation and decommissioning of all infrastructure including any server, storage, network, communications and electro-mechanical systems. Network Engineers perform 1st level support for planned and unplanned events, including working with technical teams on troubleshooting issues, communications to operations and limited system administrator functions. This role will also provide local support for voice specific applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Network engineer, your roles include:

• As day-to-day operations required to work on incidents and changes.
• Provide the Nashville locations with network and voice support.
• Experienced with structured cabling including copper and fiber. Implement connections from communication closet to end point. Ability to test new connections.
• Maintain communication closets management and maintain accurate port counts by floor , and report appropriately.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot and fix network problems by scheduling desired solutions.
• Use multiple tools to improve the efficiency and performance of the network.
• Study the current bandwidth utilization and suggest required solutions for site performance.
• Upgrade network equipment by refreshing the devices or by performing software upgrades.
• Configure routers and switches,firewalls, and load balancers.
• Participate in technical discussions and workout for new solutions along with team members.
• Engage in troubleshooting calls to resolve problems.
• Take part in projects along with engineering and assist in supporting and providing implementation plans.

Knowledge and Skills

• Should have the CCNP knowledge on routing and switching.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills on Routing and Switching.
• Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration and operation of Palo-Alto firewall products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience with SaaS based voice solutions is a plus.

Education,Experience and Certification Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ Years of network relevant experience
• Preferred certifications CCNP(R&S/DC),PCNSE.
