Netcom Tools Development Engineer

What you'll be able to do:

  • Develop network communication tools for Controller Area Network, Ethernet and LIN networks
  • Manage distribution and collection of tools to Ford's Product Development organization
  • Lead and/or conduct maintenance and repair of tools collaboratively with tool supplier developers
  • Work with tool suppliers to procure tools, training material and needed documentation and SW needed to use and maintain tools
  • Develop tool programs, scripts, requirements specifications and utilities to enable efficient network communication verification

Minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • Embedded C and C++ programming experience
  • Experience with network communication protocols
  • SW development skills

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Embedded architecture and design experience
  • Design verification experience
  • Experience with Automotive or Embedded Systems
  • Good leadership and motivational skills
