MuleSoft Training and Certification is a critical enabler of customer success by supporting product sales, enabling partners, driving customer adoption, and growing the ecosystem of individuals with MuleSoft skills. Working closely with stakeholders, we develop role-based learning paths to teach and validate technical MuleSoft skills. We have a robust, state-of-the-art portfolio of instructor-led courses, self-paced courses, certification exams, and additional self-study materials for developer, architect, and operations roles.

We are looking for a Senior Manager to drive the development of our IT operations / DevOps learning paths. In this role, you will lead a team of subject matter experts to maintain and evolve our learning paths for new and experienced MuleSoft practitioners.

What you'll achieve:

3 months:

  • Complete Salesforce and MuleSoft onboarding programs
  • Become familiar with MuleSoft's existing training portfolio and the training portfolio roadmap
  • Take over management of developers on the team including having weekly 1-1's
  • Participate in and then own the interview process to hire additional developers for the team
  • Attend MuleSoft training courses
  • Develop technical proficiency in core MuleSoft technologies
  • Pass the MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 exam
  • Ramp on curriculum development tools and processes



12 months:

  • Manage and develop a globally distributed team that has members with very different levels of course development experience and MuleSoft experience
  • Grow the team by hiring additional developers as per the hiring plan
  • Plan, manage, and deliver projects on time
  • Regularly review, analyze, and report on all course feedback and metrics regularly
  • Continually strive to create more effective learning content more efficiently with increased student satisfaction, instructor satisfaction, and student certifications
  • Collaborate with other managers to procure additional subject matter experts as needed for projects
  • Drive the development of standards and their consistent implementation in training materials
  • Document processes related to the curriculum development lifecycle
  • Work with stakeholders to design and implement instructor enablement plans as needed for new and/or updated courses



What you'll need to be successful:

Technical skills:

  • College technical degree (CS or Engineering preferred)
  • Technical background and experience to be able to understand and use MuleSoft products



Management experience:

  • 2+ years managing a globally distributed development team
  • Proven track record building a highly functional team
  • Ability and desire to develop individuals and their skill sets
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects on time
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player with ability to successfully collaborate with geographically distributed teams
  • Independent self-starter with proven time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment



Training / education experience:

  • 2+ years managing development of materials for a highly technical audience including developers and/or architects
  • 2+ years developing instructor-led training materials yourself in a technical software company
  • Familiarity with course development methodologies
  • Familiarity with various tools to create instructor-led content and self-paced learning content



What would also be useful to have:

  • Real-world experience developing and/or implementing enterprise integration solutions
  • Software development experience using Maven, GitHub, and Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of APIs, web services, and JMS messaging
  • Experience with integration technologies (MuleSoft, IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of enterprise technologies and business context
  • Experience developing or managing the development of certification exams
  • Experience with Salesforce and Trailhead
