Job Overview:

• Experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Implement and maintain MongoDB OPS Manager/Cloud Manager. Design and implement HA/DR policies.
• Extensive experience diagnosing complex technical issues with DB's, storage, networks in a production environment
• Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating KBs, run-books etc.)
• Monitor and tune performance of MongoDB/PostgresSQL or other databases
• Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services
• Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
• Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and assist with the automation of repetitive tasks
• Provide technical/strategic direction to team members

Key Responsibilities:

• MongoDB/PostgreSQL SME to support critical Citi businesses
• Experience with monitoring, backup and automation systems such as MongoDB Ops Manager
• Design and implement HA/DR policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong experience of MongoDB and PostgresSQL databases.
• 3+ years production MongoDB/PostgreSQL database administration
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB scaling across data centers and/or in-depth understanding of MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets and sharding.
• 3+ years of experience in administration of MongoDB Ops Mgr Monitoring , Backup and Automation.
• Experience with multiple backup technologies such as Ops Manager, Netbackup or Actifio is a plus
• Expertise in MongoDB installation, deployment and upgrade procedures including public clouds.
• Expertise in MongoDB database performance tuning and Query optimization
• Expertise in MongoDB HA and Scalable Architecture.
• Comfortable in using MongoDB tools like, mongostat, mongotop, mongoexport, mongoimport, mongodump, mongorestore etc. Database Security management and User Management
• Experience on VMware technologies like ESXi, vSphere systems administration and support, including vMotion, HA, DRS, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Update Manager and Site Recovery Manager
• Adequate exposure to any public cloud based deployments (IaaS and PaaS), AWS/GCP/Azure
• Experience in migrating databases between different RDBMS.
• Experience with automation technologies such as Chef, Ansible, Microfocus DMA
• Programming and scripting languages (Python, bash, Java Script).
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, and docker-compose).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
• Experience with public cloud database service providers such as MongoDB Atlas, AWS and GCP is preferable.
