Seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Software Developer to work in a fast paced environment with simulation-driven assessments and products. SAIC has been a leader supporting the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) community for more than 30+ years. Beginning with President Reagan's vision of the Strategic Defense Initiative for ballistic missile defense and the OSD/USAF Air Defense Initiative. SAIC's M&S tools span the spectrum from very high fidelity engineering tools performing component assessments to force-on-force level simulations examining architecture level performance. We have many years of providing great service to the MDA, JIAMDO, OSD, COCOM, STRATCOM, and DARPA. Be part of an integral team that is defining and testing the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). This job is a Full Time hybrid role. Work is performed 4 days at the office with 1 day remote / virtual.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and support as a M&S Software Developer
  • Understand current and future missile defense architecture functionality. Implement advanced concepts, capabilities, and behavior into the simulations.
  • Develop new capabilities on simulations used for integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) analysis.
  • Participate in studies by utilizing various M&S tools and providing insightful analysis.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors and 5 years of experience. A Masters and three years of experience
  • C++ development is required. Java, Fortran, Python, and Perl experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and associated libraries and utilities
  • Familiarity with containers and container management tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining DevOps continuous pipelines based on GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Agile development and Atlassian products.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university in engineering, physical science, computer science, operations research, mathematics, or other STEM fields is required
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.


Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
