SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we're simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
By catering to both consumers and enterprises, we're powering a new, open entertainment ecosystem where fans have effortless access to experiences, and teams, venues, and shows have seamless access to their audiences. Because everyone should expect more from ticketing.
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (open to varying levels of experience) to join SeatGeek's Product team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll improve the systems that power SeatGeek's mobile application ecosystem. As a member of the Foundation team, you will build and improve our test infrastructure, continuous integration/delivery, and release pipelines.
This is a cross-functional and collaborative role. We believe it's every team member's responsibility to produce high-quality products, and we obsess over building a superior user experience. We're looking for someone to leverage that enthusiasm and work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers across all of our teams to help accelerate software delivery across our native mobile and web products. You'll also spend time with our leadership team, working on initiatives that reach across teams, and impact the entire organization.
What you'll do
- Define and develop internal infrastructure that help accelerate the release and management of applications across SeatGeek's stack
- Determine the tooling, infrastructure, and testing approaches SeatGeek should employ for our native mobile products today, with an eye towards a world with larger teams and many more engineers
- Propose and implement product improvements to increase testability
- Manage and scale systems and tools for mobile CI and releases
Who you are
You love working on infrastructure that allows your teammates to deliver products and features to fans in a confident manner. You are able to identify inefficiencies and problems with how teams are creating software and are not afraid to propose and deliver solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in mobile software development, especially in mobile architecture
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language, ideally Swift or Kotlin, and comfortable with several others
- Interested in learning more about web and backend development and technologies
- Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks such as XCUI, and Espresso
- Experience with CI systems, like Gitlab CI or Jenkins, to create builds
- Commitment to your teammates. You enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different experiences and take pride in mentoring and contributing to the growth and success of other members of the team
The tools we use
You absolutely do not need experience with all of these, but we thought you might be curious. Tools can be learned, so we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language.
- Languages: Swift, Kotlin
- Version control: Gitlab
- CI / CD: Gitlab CI
- Test: XCUI, Espresso
Perks
- Equity stake
- Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you'd like or 100% remotely
- A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
- Flexible PTO
- Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave
- 401(k) matching program
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
- Annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
- $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
- Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music
The salary range for this role is $130,000-$240,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
