Job Description Lead Mobile Engineer, Chase Shopping
Chase has more than 65MM digitally active customers frequently using our digital banking and card products and services. A critical part of Chase customers' loyalty and engagement lies in the market-leading set of benefits and rewards available on Travel, Dining, and experiences. We are building a new generation of Shopping tools that will help Chase customers access hundreds of brands and thousands of top-quality products that can be purchased directly from Chase and can be combined with other value-generating solutions available, such as points, payment options, promotions, and product bundles.
In order to be successful with Shopping at Chase, we need to build consistent, integrated, and intuitive applications in both web and mobile environments. The Mobile Application team is providing a framework for a modern benefits and shopping platform based on the recent advances in Internet technologies.
As a lead Android/iOS engineer, you will be responsible for developing concepts, patterns, APIs and support technical roadmaps for the JPMorgan Chase mobile Shopping apps. You will bring industry best practices, new ideas, and recommendations to the strategic planning and direction of these apps, while also taking into consideration performance, security, and user experience.
You will also be required to document and illustrate framework capabilities, APIs, developer guides, and authoritatively support them through implementation and deployment phases, adjusting the approaches as challenges arise.
Responsibilities:

  • Design framework solutions, patterns and APIs. Ensure that design is robust, extensible and follows best practices.
  • Develop framework using open-source libraries and Swift, Objective-C /Core Graphics, Core Text, Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger. Ensure code adheres to industry coding best practices
  • Develop framework systems using agile software development methodology. Participate in daily meetings. Contribute towards entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of upcoming projects
  • Create Unit Tests, Perform Integration Tests to verify that developed software meets the requirements. Validate deployed code to ensure that it works as expected.
  • Design and develop tooling and solutions for testing and debugging
  • Work with the mobile application team to set up monitoring and resolve production issues/crashes. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and ensure that software bugs are corrected in an expedient manner. Communicate resolution & next steps.
  • Assist with performance monitoring, root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks and resolutions. Measure application performance using memory profiling, thread analysis and heap analysis.
  • Test and troubleshoot application running on devices
  • Assess and apply industry best practices, new ideas, and recommendations to the strategic planning and direction of the mobile applications while also taking into consideration performance, security, and experience


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Created 1 or more applications available in Apple's AppStore or Google's Android Market
  • 7+ years of combined software/application development experience
  • 5+ years of mobile development experience using Swift, Objective-C, Xcode, Core Graphics OR Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger
  • 3+ years of experience with mobile testing - unit test, automation test, testing/debugging using emulator and device
  • 3+ years of experience with mobile application profiling for memory analysis, thread analysis and heap analysis
  • 3+ years of experience with reusable mobile frameworks or component development
  • 1+ years of experience with MVVM-C, SPM
  • 3+ experience with mobile build configuration and dependency management system
  • Experience consuming SOAP/REST web services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for systems design and APIs documentation
  • Experience working on eCommerce OR Ads platforms is preferable
