Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to to join a mission focused project, involving rapid prototype development and working with big data. This position will support our Intelligence Division.

What you will do

• Provide Software Engineering support by designing and implementing prototype software applications using a variety of APIs, frameworks and programming languages.

What you need to have

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS with Polygraph
• At least 7 years of general experience in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted for four years of general experience.
• Experience in several of the following:
  • Developing software using object-oriented language (C/C++, Java or Python)
  • Developing in Linux/Windows environments
  • Scripting (Perl, Bash, Python)
  • Database (MySQL, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle) integration
  • Developing J2EE components
  • General Protocol processing
  • Experience with version control software (e.g., Maven, Git)
  • Developing analytics in the customer GhostMachine environment
  • Modern analytic platforms such as Spark

What we'd like you to have

• GUI experience (js, PHP, HTML)
• Experience with XKEYSCORE
• Knowledge of multiple programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Pig, Shell or similar
• Well-versed in computer networking protocols and devices, operating system internals, and computer system architectures
• Modern Machine Learning platforms and languages
